Wicked Weekend.

Before I give you my weekend recap, I have to report that this was such a great weekend.  So much fun, sun, family, wickedness, and green.  And birds, oh my!  (Okay, not really working with "lions, tigers, and bears, oh my!" but you get my point!)

Summer must officially be on it's way.  Check out my great farmer's tan.  Apparently I wasn't thinking that reading outside (don't worry, not fun reading.  Still CLASS READING!) with a t-shirt on and being after 2pm that I wouldn't really get THAT much color.  Well, thank you mother nature for proving me wrong:-)  The first official color of the season!  Gotta get excited about that!

THEN

it was time to head on over to our good ol' friends house to head out for some dinner and possibly the last time without the long awaited Miss Bailey!  We also heard some great news that night that apparently required texting throughout the entire dinner.  (More about that news to celebrate a week anniversary on Friday!)  Here's a recap of the evening in pictures...
where there's two, there's four...
and texting!

WICKED!  The musical.  If you don't already know, I am a huge broadway person.  I absolutely LOVE seeing shows and going to the theatre.  I mean, HOW COOL?  I LOVE, love, lOvE it!  And my newest to add to the list is WICKED.  "No one mourns the Wicked."  This was seriously one of the coolest musicals I've seen.  It told a story and was really neat to see the back-story of the famous Wicked Witch.  I can't imagine you haven't seen the one and only Wizard of Oz!  My recommendation: if you haven't seen it, GO!  And I have to add, our ELPHABA was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!  "Defying Gravity" I think was my favorite!  A huge thank you to my in-laws for my Christmas gift and making the trip down to spend a fun night with us! Dinner at Metro Grill, followed by Wicked at the Landmark Theater.  It couldn't have been anymore amazing-er! (Yes, I'm making up words!)

Oh and here is a picture of us outside of the theatre.  I had to add this picture in because I have to note that I couldn't wear any of my dresses due to a horrific tan line.  Yeah, you know that great tan line in the picture above...well my attempt of getting rid of that on Saturday was good EXCEPT I got another horrible tan line from the tank top I had on.  So overall, my first color of the season was left with wonderful tan lines to remind me that warm weather is hopefully on it's way and here to stay!

Bird feeder, bird bath, and birds, oh my!  Yes, I have always wanted a bird feeder and a bird bath ever since we moved into our house.  Yes, I'm about two years behind but well worth the wait.  I have absolutely loved watching the birds at my in-laws house eating away and splashing around.  Now, hopefully we can have the same experience as still newly first time homeowners and again, I have to thank my in-laws:-)  Hopefully I can attempt to snap a pic of some birds on it next time!  Three days after this baby was put up, we have had success!  There are always birds and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!  But back to my Sunday-we had a wonderful morning and afternoon spending the day with my in-laws before they headed back on the road.  We concluded our Sunday with a relaxing evening with just the two of us-planning the landscaping for the backyard, picking paint colors for the upstairs, and watching none other than NEW MOON!  Remember this post of my things to look forward to in March?  I can now check three off just from this past weekend!
