Yes, I'm THAT dog person

Yes, I guess it's officially, although I am still denying it. I'll admit to being "THAT" dog person the day I put clothes on my dog--snow coats don't count (they wouldn't go out without them. They are no dummies--snow is COLD!) Anyhoo, HomeGoods--(OCT. 25 in Richmond, you can guarantee you will have 2 customers)---is the greatest store for cute things around the house and sometimes you just find yourself not being able to put things back on the shelf...oops! But yes, I can now say I have a dog cookbook! Is that bad? I had these adorable dog cookie cutters that I have been dying to use and all I needed was something to make. So, there you have it. My reason and I'm sticking to it. Not to mention, the girl at the counter looked at me and said..."Are you really making treats for your dog?". Well girl, yes indeed I am! My first dog treat making experience...

I started with the "forget-me-nots"--Why not start with the September treats, right?

Yup, me in the kitchen! I promise it doesn't take the dogs to get me in there:-)
adding a little egg...yes, I was a bit nervous. Are dogs allowed to have eggs?
and then the honey...isn't my hubby a great photographer?
"The girls" checking it out...they knew they smelled something for THEM so they had to get a closer smell. It is for them after all!

Perfecting the dough got a little sticky.
My adorable cookie cutters!
On the tray...ready to go in the oven!
Final product--September's Apple-a-Day treats!

RESULTS....

WELL WORTH IT!!!
